In a scene where an important amount of mobile subscribers do not have the possibility to access to roaming service because their company hasn't covenant with the visited country operator or because they are clients of the prepaid system, Virtual HLR is a unique international roaming solution.
IN Switch Virtual HLR emulates a HLR (Home Location Register) to provide roaming service to operator's net unknown foreign clients. The only requirement is the roamer's cellular phones must be compatible with the local operator's technology.

Product Description
When an unknown roamer client turns on his mobile phone inside the coverage area of an operator that has Virtual HLR, the system notifies (by IVR or SMS) its roaming condition and the possibility to originate and receive calls as a result of a local temporary phone number assignation. Thus, this service allows the mobile subscribers to use a single handset, with a single SIM, in multiple countries with multiple local numbers and he can obtains mobile telephone services in a locality he couldn't before.

Product Overview
IN switch Virtual HLR acts as a conventional HLR for roamers and operates thru the TCP-IP network to provide the roaming services. It has direct communication with a database witch contents the roamers list and the available local numbers. A web server is used for system configuration, calls control and monitoring tasks.
Once the local number has been assigned, the visited system "sees" the roamer like a local client, and all the incoming and outgoing calls will become towards and from that number. A subscriber can be called using a local dialing plan number in each visited country and incur local call charges for intra-country calls, while remaining available for roaming calls from other countries. This overcomes the high cost of making intra-country calls when roaming and eliminates the need for multiple handsets or SIM's, and multiple bills.
The client's apparatus acquires prepaid characteristics automatically without the need of re setting it up.
