SMPP Server with MT
As SMS traffic continues to grow operators face the challenge of fulfilling such demand without incurring in huge investments. IN Switch's SMPP Server with mobile terminated (MT) capability is a cost effective way to allow wireless operators to cost effectively grow their SMS based traffic without the need to acquire a new SMSC or licenses.
Product description
IN Switch's SMPP Server allows multiple SMPP clients applications (ESMEs) to send SMS messages to mobile phones (MT delivery) without using the SMSC. As 90% of SMS are delivered on the first attempt, routing SMS through IN Switch's SMPP Server allows freeing up resources at the SMSC for applications that do not demand advanced features like Store and Forward. Messages are delivered using the SS7/C7 network via GSM-MAP or ANSI-IS41 protocols and optionally messages can be forwarded to the SMSC in case the delivery attempt fails (SMPP Forward) to take advantage of Store & Forward.
IN Switch SMPP Server is a robust implementation that supports hundreds of messages per second and allows increasing traffic by incorporating more hardware. Additional features include an SMS Broadcast module enabling operators to broadcast thousands of SMS messages to their subscribers with special announcements and marketing campaigns.
Interfaces:
- SMPP v3.4 and XML
- MAP
- Is41
