SMPP Gateway
The Short Message Peer to Peer (SMPP) protocol is an open industry standard messaging protocol designed to simplify integration of data applications with wireless mobile networks such as GSM or TDMA&CDMA. This protocol is widely deployed in the mobile telecommunications industry.
IN Switch's SMPP Gateway allows wireless operators to cost effectively build, grow, and manage a robust SMPP messaging environment. It also allows existing SMS aggregators to provide an SMPP connection to its clients, rather than over a proprietary API.
Product description
IN Switch's SMPP Gateway allows multiple SMPP clients applications (ESMEs) to be connected to a single aggregated point. This highly scaleable SMPP Server can be positioned between the operator's message center (SMSC) and the applications (ESMEs) requiring messaging access to the end-user wireless devices.
IN Switch SMPP Gateway is a state-of-the-art thread pooling software implementation that supports thousands of messages per second. A number of physical servers can be configured into an SMPP Gateway cluster to provide unparalleled scaling. The functionality can be deployed as a stand-alone server, or as an optional extra to some of our other products like IN Switch Mediation Device. |
