With the rise of global communications and the need to communicate transparently between many countries, some way of standards conversion between different countries needs to be achieved.
IN Switch ISUP Protocol Converter is today's answer for connecting several national ISUP versions into ITU-T White Book ISUP and delivery of the ISUP messages to and from a White Book ISUP compliant switch.
Product Description
IN Switch ISUP Protocol Converter (IPC) provides full inter-working between different ISUP protocol variants to enable seamless interconnection between equipment of diverse signaling standards. In this first release, the supported ISUP variants are:
- ANSI ISUP
- ITU-T White Book ISUP
- CCITT Blue Book ISUP
With IPC, not only can you increase your potential to connect to a larger portion of the world market, but can also eliminate charges you may be currently paying to one or several companies for network connections. That means you can offer bigger savings to more customers, which translates to more revenue in your corporate pocket.
Multiple maintenance features enable quick and cost-effective resolution of network problems. Due to the nature of telecommunication equipment, IPC solution will be usually built on demand, to solve specific issues our clients may face.
Product Overview
The technology used by the IPC enables it to be positioned virtually anywhere within a network for ISUP messages routing between switches located on different ISDN networks. This technology also al¬lows the IPC to support both symmetric and asymmetric network configurations, allowing for greater flexibility in building revenue-producing networks.
The IPC fully terminates each ISUP variant providing protocol independent network timers and error handling conditions to ensure fluency and circuit recovery on error. The IPC provides inter-working between any two protocols supported on the unit allowing for ANSI, ITU-T and CCITT bi-directional conversion.
The system is configured using simple to use onboard configuration permitting fast installation of equipment into a telecoms environment. Protocol interworking configuration as well as standard interconnect configuration is provided to also decrease interconnect time. The IPC provides CDRs allowing for interrogation and investigation of all call events that occurred. Protocol tracing, alarm events and exception events are all collected in time stamped files allowing for quick detection and rectification of conversion service faults.
The Protocol Converter uses a fully automated on board maintenance system that controls the behavior of all hardware and software resources on the system ensuring that on error the system will automatically recover without manual intervention. The user can remotely access the maintenance module over a LAN interface to interrogate the state of onboard resources, bring resources in and out of service and capture alarm traps.
