Monitoring
In these times when the level of competition in the telecommunication businesses is extremely high, a low-cost, high-yield, proactive level of system monitoring that goes far beyond reactive maintenance practices is need in order to increase revenues, to have full confidence in the system function and to develop new innovative services based on monitoring.
Continuous system surveillance enables the customer to more quickly identify current and potential problems before they severely disrupt customer business.
Product description
IN Switch's Monitoring product is a real time, non intrusive signaling link monitoring device with advanced filtering options. It includes all the necessary equipment, protocol and analysis tools in one integrated solution. Users can monitor the signaling links, generate reports and take actions based on the collected information.
The extracted data is sent in a simple XML structure to an external server over TCP/IP for application processing and/or stored into a relational database (Oracle, DB2, Sybase, Microsoft Access, etc.) using ODBC. With these open interfaces, operators may also develop applications based on signaling events being monitored without the need to buy additional hardware.
Through signaling network monitoring IN Switch's Monitoring is typically used by mobile operators for real-time billing, protocol analysis, location based services, alarm monitoring, statistics, CDRs, fraud detection, network supervision, logging and for troubleshooting of signaling networks.
The monitor with SCE may be used to verify the operation of critical, automated call processing systems like IVR systems, Voice messaging systems, Fax-back services, CTI screen pop arrangements, Pre-paid or debit calling card systems.
But, what's makes the difference between IN Switch and the rest of the monitors in the market is the possibility to create services based on the monitoring of signaling links. Examples of this kind of services are the "Welcome Roamer" service that sends an SMS to the roamers as soon as they start the roaming procedure, or the "Miss Call Alert" service that is based on the monitoring of the activity of the IVR. |
