IN Switch Ring Back Tone (RBT) platform allows subscribers play their favorite tune, sound, jingle, or phrase to incoming callers, instead of listening to the familiar "ring" tone.
Specific melodies can be designated according to time of day, date, caller's number or caller's group. A pre-recorded message can be played as well.
This service works with any mobile terminal, so users are not required to have the newest phone or a specific brand of phone. This network-based solution is independent of both handset and Subscriber Identity Modules (SIMs). Therefore, operators have the flexibility to offer personalized ring back services to all types of subscribers (i.e., postpaid or prepaid, fixed or mobile). Service providers can generate revenue from service management, using a wealth of existing subscriber data.
